Free Electrocardiographic Reading Services !

Send in your difficult or interesting electrocardiograms (ECGs) for a second opinion !  It is easier than you think. Click here to go to our EKG page.

We are pleased to announce a new Electrocardiogram (ECG) reading service. All ECGs will be read by Dr. Thomas Buckingham, who is trained and board-certified in general cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology.  He has also had many years of experience as a cardiologist in private practice.

At present the service is free (I only ask that you assign the copyright for the ECG to me so that I can publish it in our Journal of Interesting ECGs.  I also ask that you answer a few questions below).

I can accept all types of ECG material including 12-lead ECGs, exercise test results, Holter monitor strips, signal-averaged ECGs, and even electrophysiologic recordings.

Instructions:

  1. You may send in your ECG by fax or by email but a scanned ECG sent by email is preferred.
  2. Please do not write or mark on the ECG.
  3. By fax, send to +1-206-350-0890 in the United States.
  4. To send by email, first scan your ECG and save as a file.  I recommend saving your ECG as a jpg file.  Then attach the file to an email and send to Review@lifescipub.com .

Send in the following information:

  1. With your ECG, send in the following information on a separate sheet of paper or as part of your email:
  2. Your complete name and title
  3. Your address, phone, fax, and email
  4. The clinical question you have concerning your ECG
  5. Clinical information about the patient including age, sex, chief complaint, and diagnosis
  6. How you heard about my service or ECG newsletter

For a quick, accurate interpretation of your EKG, treadmill test, or Holter monitor, ask your secretary or technician to send in your tracings now.  Don't forget to subscribe to our EKG newsletter!
